Leaves fall from the boughs of that tall tree,
Not the ones green, fresh & filled with nature’s ardour,
But the leaves of time, whose fall
Goes on & on, till the end of eternity…
But every year, as the twelfth month dies,
It comes, commemorating a sweet memory,
Of something, the birth of a man – the true Son of God,
In whose hands, the sins of mankind were washed.
He gave his life for the cause of mankind,
A scapegoat of treachery & deceit,
Never did he grumble, but blessed,
Even those evil souls that stole his life…
New countries took birth, New inventions were made, & more leaves fell,
Still we worship him, remember his service & call him Messiah,
We rejoice the day he was born & worship him
But, is that enough??
The yoke of oppression is on our heads,
More wars, more treachery, & more cruelty,
But when you’re about to sin,
Remember, there’s this Messiah sitting high in the heavens, watching you!
